So, we planned to go to Jenny Lake this last Saturday... it's about 2 hours away in Wyoming and we've been wanting to go check it out for a few weeks so we decided this weekend would be the weekend for our little adventure. On the way, we realised we'd have to drive through Jackson Hole to get to Jenny Lake. So we decided it's basically law that you can't just drive through Jackson Hole without checking it out. Am I right or am I right? It is the 'last of the Old West' after all.
So we stopped. We (window)shopped. We took pictures. (Yes, we ACTUALLY took pictures.)
And decided to delay Jenny Lake for another weekend. Hopefully we won't get so distracted by the wonders of Jackson next time :)
We decided this time of year is pretty much the best time of year to go sight seeing round here. Everything is changing colour, there's a just a little chill in the air but the sun is still shining. Beautiful :)
Samuel wanted to buy a tomahawk so bad.
P.s. I will never, ever, ever understand the fascination with killing and stuffing animals and placing them proudly in your home/store/wherever. Poor little babies.
Samuel wanted a picture with his 'little buddy'.
Legit dinosaur eggs people.
Samuel thought this was the coolest thing ever, and it pretty much is - This is the third largest legit mammoth tusk ever found! Pretty awesome stuff. That thing was HUGE.
A dinosaur's femur... taller than me!
An arch. Made of antlers. Only in Wyoming.
All in all, Jackson is super awesome. Go.
Happy Monday! :)
Love, Ally.
